FRASER CARTMELL
As a youngster growing up in Morayshire, Fraser swam at regional level, mountain biked and ran for fun mostly throughout his school years, leading him to the sport of triathlon. He studied Chemical Engineering at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh whilst racing at Junior, U23 and finally Senior level ITU events around the world.
In 2006 he decided to shift his focus towards the non drafting side of triathlon, in particular the Ironman 70.3 and Ironman distances. His change of focus was a massive success and he proudly took first place at Ironman 70.3 UK in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
Fraser’s career has gone from strength to strength and in 2010, he triumphed finishing first at Ironman UK and Ironman 70.3 South Africa.
