Emmet Kennedy
Emmet Kennedy – Chartered Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Sports Science & Health, MSc Rehabilitation Science (Physio), MCSP, HCPC, AACP.
Emmet graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and Health from Dublin City University in 2005 and moved on to study Physiotherapy via the Masters programme at Caledonian University, graduating in 2008.
Returning to his home soil in Ireland, he spent valuable time learning on the job working with numerous local sports clubs. The call to Caledonia was too strong for Emmet and he returned to Scotland in early 2009 beginning a successful career within the NHS. During this time Emmet has continued with his career working with professional athletes and worked part time in the academy at Motherwell Football Club.
Emmet’s clinical interests include the management of spinal conditions, post-op orthopaedic rehabilitation and treatment of problems affecting the wrist and hand. His approach to physiotherapy is to ensure patients of all ages and lifestyles feel welcome and comfortable in the clinical environment and understand that by working with their physiotherapist, they can try and achieve their desired goals quickly and succesfully.
Any free time Emmet has will find him playing football himself and, by his own admission, “hacking” around a golf course and leading by his own example of being in the gym! He is a keen armchair sportsman (with good posture and only in short spurts of course!!) and really enjoys a good biography.
